In my sculptures I use human reference as a symbol of imminent transformation. I am interested in how internal mental dialogues plays an important role in generating what we think, feel and do and their impact on the way we live in this world. Humankind is constructed by their physical body, soul and mind and their well-being is in balance when these three entities are at the same level of high vibration, if they are not, our emotions get out of control and we can open the door for the dark moments.
At that time is when we need to let our spirit out and let us be guided by their wisdom. Those moments are represented in my work as the animals in which the character is transformed.
My body of work is composed by individual items (little modeling clay pieces put it on the piece one by one, flowers applications) which together consolidate the concept of human identity and it has a feminine approach, which is re-defined itself in my work
through the repetitive handling patterns, forms and applications. Allegorically, I use these materials to make reference not only to individual or social definition of the subject of study, but the set of atoms and cells that allow the tissues of the bodies of living beings are unique and unrepeatable and perfectly functional for
survival.
With discipline, respect and love that I have to the studio, is where I could experiment with materials and processes that require long processes and extreme care in its conduct and conclusion (modeling, molds, castings, finishes and armed) thereby allowing not only realize the work in specific, if not highlight and note in the work my own mental, physical and emotional states that during the process, questioning my
own existence and daily travels.
