My artistic practice focuses on the creation of sculpture and textile art. Conceptually, my work draws inspiration from therianthropic art, in which the human body serves as the central axis to which animal elements are added or fused. Through my work, I explore the shared psychological and emotional behaviors of humans and animals. My sculptural language is grounded in the stylized and colorful representation of animals as visual metaphors for human mental and emotional states. These elements allow me to articulate and reference my own cosmogony and spiritual beliefs, where I endow the soul with human-animal characteristics as a means to reveal the importance of allowing ourselves to be — free from the domination of the ego-mind, which often manifests as destructive and violent, both toward oneself and others.
